James Barrie Evans - obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barrie Evans, a pillar of our community.  Barrie devoted many loyal years to serving as Clerk to Poulton and Pulford Parish Council, leaving an indelible mark on our local governance.

A loving family man, Barrie embraced life with a great sense of humour, kindness, and intelligence. He was a well-known and well-loved figure, not only within our immediate community but also in the wider world beyond with his passion for life being evident in his love for family, friends, hiking, bridge, fine wines and life in general.

Hugely reliable, talented, and efficient in his role on the Parish Council, Barrie's contributions were marked by his accuracy, attention to detail and unwavering support. He approached life with an organised and kind spirit, leaving an enduring legacy of dedication and warmth.

In addition to his civic responsibilities, Barrie had a poetic touch to his existence, finding beauty in the simple joys of life. His ability to craft a poem out of life itself reflected his appreciation for the profound and the everyday.

As we bid farewell to Barrie Evans, let us remember the laughter he shared, the support he provided, and the poetry he found in the tapestry of life. May his memory be a source of comfort, example and inspiration to us all.
